At ArchiVinci, we provide users with access to our architectural rendering platform through two models: one-time packages (unlimited access for fixed periods — 3 days, 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, or 1 year) and recurring subscriptions (monthly and yearly plans that renew automatically). While we aim to deliver high-quality, AI-generated renders, we recognise that due to the nature of AI, some results may not align with users' expectations. This policy aims to balance flexibility with the realities of AI-driven design and the different characteristics of our two pricing models.

1. Eligibility for Refunds
Refunds may be considered in the following situations, regardless of whether you purchased a one-time package or subscription:
Perpetual Dissatisfaction: If the renders consistently and significantly fail to meet your design needs or expectations, despite attempts to resolve the issue.
Technical Problems: If ongoing technical issues prevent the effective use of our platform, and we are unable to provide a solution within a reasonable timeframe.

2. Non-Refundable Circumstances
Refunds will not be provided under the following conditions:
Occasional Render Dissatisfaction: Due to the AI-driven nature of the platform, not every render may perfectly match your vision. Continued usage of the service should yield results aligned with your preferences.
Change of Mind (outside statutory rights): Refunds will not be granted if you simply decide you no longer wish to use the platform, outside of (a) significant ongoing dissatisfaction as described above, or (b) statutory cooling-off rights where applicable (see Section 6).
One-time Package Expiry: Refund requests for one-time packages made after the designated usage period has ended will not be accepted.
Already-Elapsed Subscription Periods: For subscriptions, we do not refund portions of billing periods that have already elapsed. If you cancel mid-cycle, you retain access until the end of the period you have paid for, but the already-charged fee for that period is not refundable except as provided in this policy.
Add-on Coins: Used Add-on Coins are non-refundable. However, refunds for unused Add-on Coins will be considered on a case-by-case basis, pending an investigation by our team. If we determine there is a consistent mismatch between your requested outcome and the service provided, a refund may be issued for unused coins.

3. Pro Rata Refunds — One-time Packages
If there is a consistent mismatch between the renders generated and your needs, resulting in a decision to discontinue usage, we may issue a pro rata refund based on the remaining unused time in your package period. This refund is calculated as follows:

If more than 15 images are generated in the first 7-day period, a week of usage is automatically deducted, and the pro-rata refund amount is calculated considering this adjustment (this condition excludes the 3-Day Unlimited Rendering package).
For 3‑Day Unlimited Rendering Packages: If more than 8 renders are generated during the package period for any reason (following the 3 free generations granted by default), 50% of the package price will be deducted before the pro‑rata refund is calculated on the remaining balance.
You will be refunded for the portion of your one-time package that remains unused, beyond the first‑week or 3‑day adjustments detailed above, starting from the date you first contacted us about the issue.

4. Subscription Refunds and Plan Changes
Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access to subscription features until that date. Fees already paid for the current period are not automatically refunded on cancellation, except where required by law (see Section 6) or where ArchiVinci determines, at its discretion, that a refund is warranted under Section 1.
Upgrades and Downgrades (Plan Changes): When you change from one subscription plan to another (for example, Monthly → Yearly), your previous subscription is cancelled and replaced by the new one. To compensate for the unused allowance on the previous plan, ArchiVinci may issue an automatic partial refund proportional to the credits remaining when you change plans. The refund is calculated as:

Refund amount = (remaining credits ÷ total credits for the period) × amount paid for the most recent billing period on the previous plan

The refund is issued to the original payment method used for the previous subscription, typically within a few business days (actual arrival in your bank account may take longer depending on your bank or card issuer). This automatic pro-rata refund only applies to plan changes between subscription tiers; it does not apply to ordinary cancellations.
Failed Renewal Payments: If a subscription renewal payment fails, no charge is made and therefore no refund is due. Access to subscription features may be suspended until payment is successfully collected or the subscription is cancelled.

5. Mixed Purchases
If you have both an active subscription and an active one-time package at the same time, refund eligibility and calculation are assessed separately for each. A refund or cancellation of one does not affect the other.

6. Statutory Cooling-Off Rights (UK and EU Consumers)
Consumers in the United Kingdom and European Union have a statutory right to cancel most online purchases within 14 days of purchase under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 and equivalent EU legislation.
Important exception for digital services: By purchasing a one-time package or subscribing, and by beginning to use the service during the cancellation period, you expressly consent to the immediate performance of the service and acknowledge that you lose your statutory right to cancel once the service has been fully performed or substantively used.
In practice, this means:

If you purchase a plan and do not use the service (no renders generated, no features accessed), you may request a full refund within 14 days of purchase.
If you purchase a plan and begin using the service within 14 days, your statutory cooling-off right no longer applies, and any refund is assessed under Sections 1 through 4 of this policy.

This section does not limit any additional rights you may have under local consumer protection law.

7. Refund Process
To request a refund, please:

Contact us at hello@archivinci.com with details of your concerns and, where relevant, your project examples.
For one-time packages, submit your request within the active period of the package.
For subscriptions, submit your request before the end of the billing period for which you are seeking a refund.

Our team will review your case and respond within 5 business days, and may request further clarification. Refunds, when granted, are issued to the original payment method.

8. Resolution Before Refund
Before a refund is granted, we will make every reasonable effort to resolve the issue, including:

Providing guidance or adjustments to help you achieve more desirable results.
Offering technical support to address any platform issues.
Where appropriate, offering credit adjustments or plan changes as an alternative to a monetary refund.
