What is render AI?
Render AI is artificial intelligence that turns an image of a design into a photorealistic render, without a traditional render engine. The tool that does it is called an AI render generator: you upload a sketch, a 3D model view or a photo, and an AI image model adds materials, light, reflections and surroundings to the lines and volumes it sees. There is no scene to set up: no materials to assign, no lights to place, no render settings and no graphics card of your own.
AI rendering is the fastest way from a design in progress to an image a client can read. Setting up and computing a classic render can take hours; an AI render comes back in seconds, so you can try a second material or a different light while the first idea is still on the table.
ArchiVinci is a render AI built for buildings and rooms. Its default engine is an AI model called ArchiVinci 4.0: it renders from your image and follows it closely, so the perspective, geometry and proportions of your design stay where you drew them.
How to Create an AI Render in ArchiVinci
An AI render needs one image of your design. A prompt and a lighting button are optional.
Open the app with the button below and sign in or create an account; you need one to upload and to generate. A new account gets 3 free credits.
Pick the module that matches your image under Select module: Exterior for buildings and facades, Interior for rooms. The button below opens Exterior.
Under Input image, upload one image of your design: a sketch, a 3D model view, a draft render or a photo, as JPG, PNG or WebP up to 5 MB.
Leave Render engine on the default, ArchiVinci 4.0. Below it, Add object (optional) has tags to click, such as Tree, People and Car in Exterior or Plants, Seating and Lamps in Interior.
In Prompt (optional), describe materials, style and surroundings in one or two sentences. There is no style list to pick from, so the style goes into the prompt. With an empty prompt the app renders what the image shows, in the colors it already has.
Under Lighting (optional), pick one of six buttons, for example Daylight, Golden hour or Twilight.
Press Generate. One image costs one credit; on premium plans a run returns up to four images.
Compare the render with your input in the before/after viewer and download it as a JPEG. For another option, change the prompt or the lighting and generate again.
What can you upload for an AI render?
The input is one image that shows your design clearly. The four common starting points each have a guide of their own:

The app reads images, not model files: an SKP, RVT, DWG, OBJ or FBX file has to be exported or captured as a picture first. SketchUp users can also render without leaving SketchUp through the ArchiVinci plugin; see SketchUp rendering.
Three cases have a module of their own. A 2D floor plan goes to the Floor plan module, described under AI floor plan coloring. A site plan or a massing model of several buildings goes to Masterplan, described under AI masterplan design. AI Render Examples
The examples below were made in the ArchiVinci app on the default engine, with the prompts printed on this page. Results differ from run to run.
Example 1: A House Without Materials
The upload shows a two-story house without materials: every surface is plain white, as in a view of an untextured 3D model. The result, made with the prompt below and the Daylight button, is a photorealistic render of the same house from the same camera position, with the materials and surroundings the prompt names.

Example 2: A Line Drawing
The upload is a line drawing of a living room in perspective. The Interior module renders the room as drawn: the sofa, the coffee table, the lamp and the window stay where the drawing puts them, and the prompt sets the finishes, such as the oak floor, the beige upholstery and the sheer curtains.

Example 3: One Upload, Two Lights
The lighting buttons change the light without any change to the prompt. Both renders below come from the same upload and the same prompt as the house in example 1; only the lighting button differs.

ArchiVinci 4.0 is the model for design work: it is built to follow the image you upload. The partner models are there to see how a different AI model reads the same input. Credits and coins are two separate balances: credits pay for ArchiVinci 4.0 renders, and a new account starts with 3; coins pay for the partner models, and premium plans include a coin allowance.
What does render AI keep from your design?
The render follows the image you upload. ArchiVinci 4.0 keeps the camera position, the perspective, the outline of the building or room, the openings and the proportions of your input. What changes is the finish: untextured surfaces become materials, the scene gets light, shadows and reflections, and empty surroundings get sky, ground and planting.
If your image already has colors or materials, the render keeps them and turns them into finishes. If it is an untextured model or a line drawing, the materials come from your prompt.
That is why this page used to be called Exact Render Generator and later Precise Visualizer: the point was, and still is, a render that stays true to the design you uploaded.
Two habits keep results close to your design: upload a sharp image in which walls, openings and edges are easy to read, and keep the prompt short. A long prompt gives the model more to interpret, and the app warns you above 200 characters. After each run, use the before/after viewer to check windows, rooflines and proportions against your input. Every result is a newly generated image, so a small detail can differ; when it does, generate again or correct that one area.
What You Can Do with a Finished Render
A render is rarely the last step. Three tools start from the result:
Change one part. Edit render opens the result in the Edit module: mark an area with the brush or the lasso, replace the prompt with the change, and only that area is generated again. More in the guide to inpainting AI.
Make it larger. A render on the default engine is about 1.5 megapixels, roughly 1,500 x 1,000 px for a 3:2 image. On premium plans, Upscale enlarges it up to 4096 px on the long side, enough for brochures and presentation boards; see the AI render enhancer.
Add motion. On premium plans, Animate sends the render to the Video module, which turns a still image into a short clip for coins; see image to video.
Renders stay in your render history for 7 days, so download the ones you want to keep. ArchiVinci does not use the images you upload or the renders you create to train its AI models.
AI Rendering vs a Traditional Render Engine
An AI render generator and a traditional render engine such as V-Ray, Lumion or Enscape do different jobs: one shows in seconds how a design could look, the other calculates how a finished 3D scene looks.

Architects test materials and facade options on a model view long before a scene is ready for final renders.
Interior designers show a client two or three proposals for a room from one sketch or model view.

Is AI rendering free? Credits and plans
AI rendering in ArchiVinci is free to try: a new account comes with 3 credits, and one credit is one render on the default engine, without a watermark. That is enough to test the AI render generator on your own design. Commercial use needs an active plan: with one, you can use the renders you make in personal and commercial work, as set out in our Terms & Conditions.
Premium plans come as weekly, monthly and yearly subscriptions and as one-time passes. They include unlimited ArchiVinci 4.0 renders, up to four images per run, Upscale and a coin allowance for partner models and video. Current plans are on the pricing page.
Frequently Asked Questions About the AI Render Generator
Do I have to write a prompt to get an AI render?
No. The prompt is optional: with an empty prompt the app renders what the image shows, and the lighting buttons and object tags work without any text. A short prompt is how you ask for materials, a style or surroundings.
What resolution does an AI render have?
A render on ArchiVinci 4.0 is a JPEG of about 1.5 megapixels in the proportions of your input. On premium plans, Upscale enlarges a finished render up to 4096 px on the long side.
Which AI model should I pick in the Render engine menu?
Start with the default, ArchiVinci 4.0: it is the model built to keep the geometry of your input, and it is unlimited on premium plans. Try a partner model when you want to see how a different AI model interprets the same image; each of those renders costs one coin.
Why do two renders of the same image look different?
Every run generates a new image, so two runs with the same upload and the same prompt differ in small details. Run it again and keep the one you prefer; on premium plans one run returns up to four images to choose from.
Can I get a night render with AI?
The Twilight button comes closest: it gives a dusk scene with the lights on, as in example 3. For a full night view, download the render, upload it in the Edit module and describe the change. The AI relight guide shows a day-to-night example with its prompt.
What happened to Exact Render Generator and Precise Visualizer?
They are earlier names of this page. Exact render was also a module of the app, with a texture-balance slider; the app no longer has it. Its job, a render that follows the image you upload, is now done by the Interior and Exterior modules on the default engine, ArchiVinci 4.0.
